After Chandrayaan-3’s success ISRO successfully launched the Aditya-L1 mission.

Aditya-L1 spacecraft launched from Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota at 11.50 am. On September 2, 2023.

ISRO’s PSLV is carrying the Aditya L1 mission on a 125-day voyage to the Sun and Aditya L1 will stay in Earth's orbit for sixteen days.

The total journey time for the Aditya-L1 solar mission from Earth to L1 is estimated to be about four months.

Aditya L1 is expected to reach its decided orbit near the Sun in January next year.

The Aditya solar mission is expected to last five years.

In the meantime, the satellite will orbit around L1  in the halo orbit around the Sun

The satellite will orbit in L1 in an irregularly shaped orbit, perpendicular to the line joining Sun and Earth.

Aditya L1 will conduct in-situ observations of the Solar wind and provide remote observations of the Solar corona at L1.
