Who Is Red Hulk?

A glimpse of Red Hulk is shown in the teaser for "Captain America: Brave New World."

Red Hulk, also known as Rulk, first appeared in "Hulk" #1 in 2008, created by Jeph Loeb and Ed McGuinness.

Red Hulk's true identity is General Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross, a long-time nemesis of the original Hulk.

Ross becomes Red Hulk after being transformed by the Intelligencia to combat the Hulk.

Red Hulk has immense strength, durability, and endurance, retaining his intellect and military strategy.

He can emit heat from his body, reaching levels sufficient to melt metal and weaken opponents.

Red Hulk has been both a hero and antagonist, and he has been a member of the Avengers.

Red Hulk has added complexity to the Hulk mythos and the rivalry between Ross and Banner.
